To Sharazi, I’ve never known a bride-to-be that didn’t plan to lose weight and / or drop a few dress sizes before their wedding. In fact, for me, it was just another part of the wedding planning process. Four to five weeks before my wedding day, I dropped 6 dress sizes. Of course I was thrilled but at the same time I was worried about the extensive alterations that would have to be made to my dress. Other than having a bridesmaid dress taken up, I didn’t have much experience with “alterations” but I had been told that the work that needed to be done to my dress would most likely result in an awkward, droopy and lifeless gown. The very things I loved about the Marisa gown - simple but elegant with a bodice encircled with beaded embroidery in a jeweled pattern was also what would make the alterations difficult, labor-intensive and time-consuming. When my dress arrived from the designer, I immediately went to meet with Loyce of Sharazi designs. This was the first sign of reassurance. After 2 fittings and a few weeks time, I tried on my dress for the last time before the wedding. To my surprise and many others I imagine, it was a perfect fit. The alterations were flawless and it was nearly impossible to tell that the beaded and embroidered bodice had been removed, cut and sewn back on the dress to fit the new and appropriate dimensions of the gown that was close to half of the original size. I was thrilled and very pleased with the outcome but must admit I did cringe a bit when it was time to make the payment (although I knew it was worth every penny). Again, to my surprise, the cost was 4 times less than what I had expected and what other bridal specialists had quoted me. I can’t say enough positive things about Sharazi designs. They exceeded my expectations 10 fold. I feel confident in saying that there are few, if any, bridal designers that can guarantee quality at this level. To Sharazi, Loyce has just about everything you could want in your wedding gown designer. Upon reading the impressive testimonials on her website, I decided to make an appointment to meet her. After my first visit, I knew I wanted her to make my wedding gown. Her warm welcome gave me the sense that the dress making process with her would be a fun and positive experience. In addition, the quality of her work is outstanding, which you can see from the dozens of sample dresses in her studio. Throughout the process, Loyce kept a wonderful and creative attitude even when I made a style change mid-way through the process. She is meticulous and patient (a must if you’re indecisive and particular like me). She is very customer focused and will do whatever is necessary to make her client happy and make sure the dresses are high quality. I was so happy with Loyce that before my dress was complete, I referred her to a friend in dire need of a wedding gown. Her wedding was less than two months away AND she lived out of town. Somehow, Loyce made it happen even though my friend came to L.A. for a dress fitting only once. In the end, I had a wedding gown that I was happy with (and made me look skinny) and had made a friend. Loyce even came to my ceremony to put my chapel length veil on, to make sure the dress and veil flowed nicely across the floor as I walked into the aisle and most importantly, to watch me get married. To Sharazi, Loyce’s impeccable design, artistry and workmanship— and exuberant personality — were a wonderful asset to my wedding planning. I had already purchased my dress from a wedding boutique — an A-Line gown with an Italian lace bodice and crumpled silk organza skirt with medium length train — when a friend told me about Loyce. Loyce did a superb job on custom tailoring my dress so that it fit me perfectly. In addition to the alterations, Loyce maid my veil, using a light netting with tiny pearls, to complement the light texture of my dress. She also devised a system to bustle the train easily, so I could dance the night away without missing a beat. Finally, Loyce created a lovely matching lace jacket as a cover-up for the ceremony (not pictured here). To Sharazi, This is just a brief note to let you know how much I appreciated all of your patience and professionalism. My “wedding day” would not have been as special without your personal touch. From beginning to the end, you made me look and feel just like a princess. I never imagined there was a dress that could be created so perfectly just “FOR ME.” My dress was absolutely stunning!! My bridesmaid dresses? Oh yes, they were gorgeous, too!! What I thought was a difficult task, you handled with ease. All of my bridesmaids resided out of town. You handled getting all of their measurements. If there was any difficulty I never knew about it. Trying to juggle one million and three wedding planning details..... I can’t tell you what a relief this was for me. You were truly my breath of fresh air and pleasure to work with. Loyce, Where do I begin? The experience at Sharazi was one that will never be forgotten. I came to know Loyce through 2 very good friends in college who had their wedding gowns made by her, as well as my bridesmaids dress for one of the weddings. When my wedding date was set, I called Loyce immediately! I had so many ideas of what I wanted and I am very picky — I knew there was no way I could buy the dress that I had in mind. So, I realized my gown would have to be custom made. I turned to Sharazi Bridal. When I think of Sharazi, I think of family. You have Loyce the designer and Mom. What could we do without Mom? They are honest, sincere and work great as a team. Their knowledge and experience are invaluable. I must not leave out fun to work with! Loyce was very patient with my occasional indecisiveness and would always keep me “on point” to the dress I had envisioned. Loyce truly perfected my vision of a “different” and classy wedding. Not only did she create a masterpiece from my many thoughts. She accommodated 6 different schedules for my bridesmaids to design individual and unique styles for each of them. To Sharazi, I am not a woman who grew up dreaming of her perfect wedding day. I never had a pre-conceived idea of what my wedding dress should look like. And, during my almost one year engagement, I never even opened a bridal magazine. The only thing that was certain was that my wedding ceremony was going to take place in the middle of a temperate rain forest, so a conventional wedding dress would not do. I came to know of Loyce as a result of high high praise that came from two of my closest friends, both of whom had worked with Loyce. And am I glad that they let me in on this gem! From start to finish, Loyce was a pleasure. She respected both my design ideas as well as my budget. She also gently guided me towards fabrics or cuts that would enhance my figure and result in a more beautiful wedding dress. And, from the reaction of my wedding guests, I'd say that the result was more than I had hoped for. So, whether you are the kind of woman who knows exactly what she wants or if you are a woman who only has a vague idea, you will love working with Loyce. She is the master and you will be her muse. Dear Sharazi, What a relief to have found Loyce. She set my mine at ease the moment I met her. I had been looking through magazines for several months at dress styles and could not decide on the style, fabric headpiece, etc. A store bought dress was never a consideration. I did not want to have the same dress as someone else or be limited to the current bridal trends. At out first meeting she walked me thought all the decision I would need to make in order of priority. As a businessperson I appreciated her focus and strategic approach. Each visit to her shop was like getting together with an old friend. I felt completely comfortable sharing my ideas and she responded honestly and openly every time. She made certain I was pleased with the process at every turn; demonstrating profound patience and a wonderful sense of humor. My dress was stunning and everything I could have hoped for. Classic simplicity and exquisite fit with the most sophisticated detail. I feel very fortunate to have found Loyce. She is especially good at working with people who are hard to please.
